Let Search Engine and Social Networks Know What Your Site is All About.



You may say it is not really  important to have this activated, but all this things we see to be a mere thing actually add up to a successful blog site. What it does is to display the content of the blog and shows what the whole blog site is all about. It is effective when people search you  on the search engine like Google and more it describe what your site does by appearing as a little snippet in the search results. When someone also shares your post on Facebook  Google plus and other social network it also displays your site description a little below the post.


WHY SHOULD I STILL HAVE THIS ACTIVATED

It increases the chance of getting more page-views/ traffic of your blog because a good description of your site would draw people closer to your page..



HOW DO I ACTIVATE THIS ON MY BLOG HOMEPAGE


  • Log in to your blogger account
  • select the blog you want to edit 
  • go to the blog settings
  • click on the search preferences
  • Click on edit under the meta tags
  • And describe your site
  • click save

This can be added directly from your  blogger post editor


  • Click on new post or select post you wish to edit
  • navigate to post settings on the right hand side of the blog post editor
  • Find and click on the search description 
  • Enter your post description and click done

Use the meta tag checker to Verify Your Meta Description


If the meta tag description is not active or may be didn't appear, check your blog template to activate it.

 make the search easy press CTRL + F on your keyboard and type the code in it and press enter.. it would locate the code, then paste the code below before it and save your template
